Retail expansion for electronic cigarettes retailer as it looks for 30 new units in 2019
Ecigwizard, one of the UK’s largest online and offline retailer within the fast-growing electronic cigarettes and e-liquids sector, has announced plans to open up to 30 new retail units this year, building on its existing portfolio of 42 outlets.
The company opened 11 new outlets in 2018 and the search continues for further shops of ideally between 300 and 600 sq ft in high footfall locations, close to other well-known multiple occupiers.
In addition, new premises are also being sought in the Harrow / Wembley / Ruislip area which can house both a retail outlet and provide office and training space for up to 10 people.
Four agents have been retained regionally in the areas of search: Bristol-based Williams Gunter Hardwick will be covering the south west, West Midlands and outer London, Raven & Co are covering Central London, FHP is operating in the East Midlands and Cradick Retail is searching in the Home Counties.
“In many locations we are pushing at an open door because of the number of retail casualties in the last year or so,” says Williams Gunter Hardwick director Stuart Williams.
“This market is growing quickly, but as with any new niche it is still establishing itself. We are able to provide reassurance to landlords because of its strong trading record with excellent accounts and the high quality of shop fitting – Ecigwizard uses John Worth of Leicester, who have a national reputation for other multiple retail clients to include Shoe Zone, CEX and Thomson Travel.”
Ecigwizard is the trading name for Electronic Cigarettes Ltd, one of the largest stockists of electronic cigarettes and e-liquids across the UK and Europe. The company, which has been trading since 2011, has a 10,000 sq ft production and head office facility in Peterborough.
Through supplying its existing stores as well as 600 other businesses across the country as well as a strong online presence and over 80 private white label e-liquid clients.
Target locations are likely to include town centres and suburbs to include Bath, Bristol suburbs, Cobham, Droitwich, Ewell, Esher, Newbury, Oxford, Reigate, Solihull, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Stroud, Walton-On-Thames, Weybridge and Wokingham but full details can be secured by contacting the retained agents.
