Royal address for Turley Associates
The South West's leading planning and urban design consultants Turley Associates are expanding after moving into new premises at 10, Queen Square , Bristol .
The company, which first moved to Bristol in 1999, has taken 3,500 sq ft space on a 10 year lease.
One of nine offices across Britain , the move more than doubles the company's work space and has allowed a significant expansion of the consultancy team.
The Bristol office, which specialises in major residential, retail and mixed-use regeneration developments, is currently working on a number of high profile projects in Bristol, including the redevelopment of the Broadmead shopping centre for the Bristol Alliance (Land Securities and Hammersons), and the redevelopment of the SS Great Britain/Great Western Dockyard for Countryside.
Office Director at Turley Associates, Philip Challen , said: "The office is working on some of the most complex city centre redevelopments across the region. In addition to our Bristol work, we are involved with the city centre redevelopment at St Davids 2 in Cardiff, major urban extensions throughout the South West and South Wales, and major city centre projects in Exeter and Swindon."
"We have just recruited four additional members of staff, which will boost our team to twenty, and we plan to expand our planning and urban design teams still further during 2007/2008," said Philip.
Andrew Hardwick, director of Clifton chartered surveyors Williams Gunter Hardwick, represented Turley Associates in the property deal. He said: "Queen Square is one of Bristol's most prestigious addresses and makes a great location for Turley Associates to build its business in the future."
The landlord, Gavin Maber, owner of Wildbrook Investments Limited was represented by Wayne Heal of Bristol property agents DTZ and GVA Grimley, incorporating Osmond Tricks.
Turley Associates was previously based at Queens Avenue in Clifton , and at Berkeley Square .
Established 22 years ago, Turley Associates employs 175 staff across the UK .
