IFA Hargreaves Lansdown to take 103,000 sq ft at Harbourside
Williams Gunter Hardwick has advised Hargreaves Lansdown on the acquisition of its new headquarters in Bristol, in what was the biggest preletting agreed during 2007.
Williams Gunter Hardwick has been seeking a new building for the IFA for several years. The firm plans to relaocate its 650 staff who handle 350,000 clients by the end of 2009.
Steve Lansdown, co-founder and Executive Chairman at Hargreaves Lansdown, said "We currently occupy five smaller premises in the Clifton area of Bristol and we wanted to get all of our staff under one roof. We were also keen to stay close to our existing locations, as a lot of staff walk or cycle to work and we wanted to keep that environmentally friendly way of getting in."
Developer Crest Nicholson has a further 140,000 sq ft of offices at Harbourside to be developed. The sheme also includes shops, flats and leisure facilities. There is also an Ibis Hotel and Gala Casino.
