HAWKIN'S BAZAAR - Moves into Bullring, Birmingham  & Westfield Stratford

Leading high street toy retailer, Hawkin's Bazaar, has secured permanent deals in two of the largest UK shopping Centres in Bullring, Birmingham and Westfield Stratford, as it continues it’s UK expansion of permanent shops, taking permanent store numbers to 65.

Earlier this year the retailer announced its strategy to find 60 temporary stores for the busy Christmas trading period where all are now up and trading. This year, it has already successfully secured permanent sites in Yeovil, Fareham and Preston.

Bristol based retained agent, Williams Gunter Hardwick, acted on behalf of the retailer. In Bullring, the 1,590 sq ft unit immediately adjoins Disney and is opposite The Entertainer. In Stratford, the 1,500 sq ft unit can be found on the lower ground floor unit and is next to Lego whilst close to Mothercare and Build A Bear.

Hawkin’s Bazaar CEO, Lyle Finlay, said; “We have tried to secure space at Bullring for a number of years but our ability to up our game on rental levels this year has finally enabled us to gain representation here.

Stratford was more last more of a last minute decision but with the John Lewis anchor, it’s excellent communications and the forthcoming Olympic games, from a visit a few months back, it was clear that this scheme was for us”.

Hawkin’s Bazaar are already reviewing their temporary stores to consider what might be worth extending or considering for adding to the permanent store network in 2012.
